Accommodation
- The Sofitel Cotonou Marina Hotel & Spa, the forum's official venue, offers preferential rates for NFF 2026 attendees.
- Numerous business and boutique hotels are located within 15 minutes of the Sofitel, for every budget.
Getting around
- Cadjehoun international airport is less than 10 minutes from major hotels, and a shuttle is often available on arrival.
- Gozem (the local equivalent of Uber) is the easiest way to get around town, with a fare shown upfront.
- The zémidjan (motorcycle taxi, recognizable by its yellow color) is fast and affordable for short trips; negotiate the fare before boarding.
Where to eat
- Restaurants generally serve from 12–3pm and 7–10/11pm, so booking ahead is recommended in the most popular spots.
- Don't miss a local "maquis" to try braised chicken, akassa or grilled fish in a friendly, affordable setting.
Good to know
- The local currency is the CFA Franc (XOF). Cards are accepted in major hotels; carry cash elsewhere.
- French is the official language. The climate is warm and humid year-round, so pack light clothing.
